2019-2020 Asia Outdoor Exhibition Tour Plan Released!
On the first day of the opening ceremony at the Asia Outdoor Summit Forum, Mr. Li Yangjun, General Manager and CEO of Nanjing Yuanya International Exhibition Co., Ltd., released the 2019-2020 national tour plan for the Asia Outdoor Exhibition, elaborating on how the event continuously breaks through itself throughout the year, using the exhibition as a platform to innovate while honoring its heritage.
Mr. Li Yangjun first analyzed why the Asia Outdoor Exhibition would expand beyond Nanjing to tour nationally between 2019 and 2020. Having been deeply involved in the outdoor industry for many years, he noted that the sector has been undergoing tremendous changes. With the development of the internet economy, sales channels, marketing methods, and even the consumption habits of outdoor enthusiasts have all evolved significantly.
As a 14-year-old B2B exhibition, the Asia Outdoor Exhibition faces similar challenges. But these are also opportunities.
First, from the consumer perspective, a large portion of the outdoor market’s main consumers skew older. Capturing the younger demographic aged 18 to 30 is a common challenge the industry now faces.
Second, the outdoor industry needs to become more fashionable, personalized, and trend-driven, introducing new and innovative ways to engage with the outdoor space. This includes combining light outdoor activities with travel to create an outdoor lifestyle encompassing running, cycling, road trips, weekend camping, hiking, diving, trail running, camp education, and more.
How should a trade exhibition adapt in response to these market shifts? This is the reason behind the Asia Outdoor Exhibition’s national tour.
Mr. Li Yangjun outlined the following four types of tour formats:
At the forum, Mr. Li Yangjun also announced the Asia Outdoor Exhibition’s tour plan for the coming year.
The first stop will be the Outdoor Carnival – Mount Tai Station, held in Tai’an, Shandong. This will be the first stop of the Asia Outdoor Exhibition and Carnival outside of Nanjing. It will join forces with the 33rd Mount Tai International Mountaineering Festival, serving over 17,000 mountaineering enthusiasts during the festival. This C-end oriented event is also geographically well-suited for a B2B2C type exhibition.
The second stop is scheduled for Hangzhou in November, where the exhibition will collaborate deeply with Xingzhuang, China’s largest outdoor vertical community e-commerce platform. The venue will be the G20 Summit site. Meanwhile, plans for April 2020 include a stop in Chengdu, and in October 2020, a trade show targeting the general aviation industry will be held in Wuhan, integrating outdoor activities with air sports. Additional cities are also under discussion—stay tuned for more...
Beyond brands, the Asia Outdoor Exhibition also welcomes various activity service providers to join the platform for greater exhibition and trade opportunities. Participation options are diverse, including not just booths but also carnival brand islands, pop-up stores, and advertising sponsorships. The exhibition encourages the creation of smaller IPs under its larger brand umbrella.
Finally, companies that participated in the 2019 Asia Outdoor Exhibition will enjoy certain discounts for future tour stops. Visit the official Asia Outdoor Exhibition website www.asian-outdoor.com or follow the “Asia Outdoor Exhibition” WeChat public account for more details. Stay tuned~
