In the professional segment, the Camping Equipment and RV Exhibition featured 158 exhibitors this year, covering an exhibition area of 40,000 square meters—the largest scale to date—with 303 RVs displayed on-site. By the end of the conference, a total of 94 RVs, 800 tent and wooden house products, 24 campsite supporting and outdoor products were sold, achieving a total transaction value of 52 million RMB, with intended transactions reaching 20 million RMB.
At the National Camping Industry On-site Meeting, around 500 attendees participated, including representatives from sports bureaus across provinces and cities, automobile and motorcycle associations, car camping associations, campsite operators, and related enterprises. During the meeting, 30 “2019 Premium Self-driving Sports Tour Routes” with leisure and sports themes were released, recommended by 22 organizations.
As the highlight of the National Camping Industry On-site Meeting, the National Key Projects Signing Ceremony for the Camping Industry saw 28 organizations and enterprises sign contracts on-site, with a total contracted amount reaching 6.66 billion RMB. The on-site matchmaking session involved 74 exhibitors and resulted in 14 intended signing projects.
At the Camping Education and Camping Industry Development Summit Forum, which focused primarily on industry learning and exchange, over 600 participants attended, including heads of relevant national automobile self-driving sports campsites, participating exhibitors, Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Sports, and Tianjin Sports Industry Association.
Centering on the forum’s themes, Professor Bao Mingxiao from Beijing Sport University, Ding Xianghua, Director of the Development Department at the Mountaineering Sports Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of China, Professor Liang Qiang from the Business School of Tianjin University of Finance and Economics, and Guan Lei, Chairman of Tuju Camping Site Investment Management Co., Ltd., delivered keynote speeches titled “The Era of Sports Scenarios,” “Opportunities and Challenges in China’s Youth Outdoor Camping Industry,” “The Scenario Revolution and Quality Development of Camping Education,” and “Camping and Education: Symbiotic Growth for a Brilliant Future for Children,” respectively.
The accessible and popular conference activities attracted over 200,000 outdoor sports and camping enthusiasts from across the country as well as Tianjin residents. At the opening ceremony gala, a performance by a drone formation of over a hundred drones left an unforgettable impression on the audience. Listening to traditional Tianjin-style clapper talks on the beach offered a unique experience not found elsewhere, earning praises from out-of-town participants.
The finals of the National Automobile Self-driving Sports Campsites Attack and Defense Archery Competition gathered 200 participants from 24 teams across six major regions nationwide. During the event, many spectators stopped to watch and even tried their hand at the excitement of attack and defense archery. The championship was ultimately won by Team One of the Cao Gan Desert Campsite from the Inner Mongolia War Zone, while Team Two of the Lu Lianggou War Zone from the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei War Zone and Team One of the Dianchi No.1 Sports Campsite from the Guizhou War Zone secured second and third places, respectively.
Leveraging its coastal advantages, Tianjin vigorously promotes marine sports. Comprehensive Integration of “Sports, Culture, Tourism, and Commerce”
While this year’s conference was full of highlights, the greatest one lay in the comprehensive integration of “sports, culture, tourism, and commerce.” Enriching content such as sporting events created tourism highlights, enabled culture to spread more effectively through sports, and built a broader industrial platform based on the conference, providing more development opportunities for enterprises—achieving mutual benefits for all stakeholders through a single event.
The China Automobile (RV) Camping Conference has clearly evolved from a regular conference event into an “industry-scenario-oriented” gathering. Each segment of the camping conference represents a microcosm of scenarios within the camping industry. Industry professionals showcase themselves and seek cooperation here, while visitors and audiences experience a new lifestyle of outdoor sports and camping. New opportunities are also quietly born here.
