The 6th China Automobile (RV) Camping Conference concludes with outstanding achievements in the "sports, culture, tourism, and commerce" integration

    The 6th China Automobile (RV) Camping Conference, jointly organized by the Federation of Automobile and Motorcycle Sports of China, Tianjin Municipal Sports Bureau, Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, Tianjin Binhai New Area People's Government, Tianjin Dongjiang Free Trade Port Area Management Committee, and Tianjin Port (Group) Co., Ltd., officially concluded on the 19th at the Dongjiang Bay Scenic Area, with all conference activities successfully completed. The event directly involved 4,480 participants and attracted over 200,000 visitors and tourists.

An authoritative industry platform with accessible and engaging conference activities

    Compared to previous years, this year’s conference activities have seen a qualitative improvement in both professionalism and public participation. To better serve the event, the conference organizing committee mobilized approximately 160 volunteers from various industries.

    In the professional segment, the camping equipment and RV exhibition saw a total of 158 companies participating, covering an exhibition area of 40,000 square meters — the largest scale in the event’s history. A total of 303 RVs were displayed on-site. By the end of the conference, 94 RVs, 800 tent and wooden house products, 24 campsite supporting and outdoor products were sold, generating a total transaction value of 52 million RMB, with intended transactions reaching 20 million RMB.

    At the National Camping Industry On-site Conference, around 500 attendees participated, including representatives from sports bureaus across provinces and cities, automobile and motorcycle associations, car camping associations, campsite operators, and related enterprises. During the conference, 30 “2019 Premium Self-driving Sports Tour Routes” with leisure and sports themes, recommended by 22 organizations, were released.

    As the highlight of the National Camping Industry On-site Conference, the National Key Camping Industry Project Signing Ceremony saw 28 organizations and enterprises sign agreements on-site, with a total contract value of 6.66 billion RMB. The on-site matchmaking session involved 74 exhibitors, resulting in 14 intended signing projects.

    The Camping Education and Camping Industry Development Summit Forum, aimed primarily at industry learning and exchange, was attended by over 600 people, including heads of national automobile self-driving sports campsites, exhibitors, Tianjin Municipal Sports Bureau, and Tianjin Sports Industry Association.

    Focusing on the forum’s themes, Professor Bao Mingxiao from Beijing Sport University, Director Ding Xianghua of the Development Department at the Mountaineering Sports Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of China, Professor Liang Qiang from the Business School of Tianjin University of Finance and Economics, and Guan Lei, Chairman of Tujv Camping Investment Management Co., Ltd., delivered keynote speeches respectively titled “The Era of Sporting Scenes,” “Opportunities and Challenges in China’s Youth Outdoor Camp Industry,” “The Scene Revolution and Quality Development of Camping Education,” and “Camping and Education: Symbiotic Growth for a Wonderful Future of Children’s Dreams.”

    The accessible and engaging conference activities attracted over 200,000 outdoor sports and camping enthusiasts as well as Tianjin residents. During the opening ceremony gala, a performance by a drone formation of over a hundred units left an unforgettable impression on the audience. Experiencing the rhythmic beats of Tianjin-style clapper talk while walking on the beach is a unique delight not found elsewhere, earning praise from visiting guests from other regions.

    The finals of the National Automobile Self-driving Sports Camp Attack Arrow Competition featured 24 teams with 200 participants from six major competition zones across the country. During the event, many spectators stopped to watch, with some even trying out the thrill of attack arrow competitions themselves. The championship was won by Team One of the Caogan Desert Camp from the Inner Mongolia Zone, while Team Two of the Luliangou War Zone from the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Zone and Team One of the Dianchi No.1 Sports Camp from the Guizhou Zone took second and third places, respectively.

    Leveraging its coastal advantages, Tianjin vigorously promotes marine sports. This year’s conference hosted the 2019 Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Sailing Elite Competition and the Motorboat Elite Competition at Dongjiang Bay. Nearly 300 athletes competed in specialized events such as sit-down motorboat PK matches, stand-up motorboat obstacle races, sit-down motorboat speed races, stand-up motorboat speed races, and catamaran buoy races. A variety of enriching experience activities were also offered to tourists and citizens, allowing the public to experience and fall in love with the charm of outdoor sports through close interaction with professional athletes.

    Additionally, the Bay Area Thousand-Person Hiking Orienteering Activity drew 1,200 participants; the Dongjiang Heroes Gathering – Harley Heavyweight Motorcycle Ride saw 500 motorcycles and 700 participants; the 2019 China New Energy Vehicle Rally Championship – Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Station had 70 vehicles and 300 participants. A series of exciting events provided visual feasts for tourists from across the country and Tianjin residents alike, offering them firsthand experiences of the unique thrills brought by outdoor and motorsports.

    The China Automobile (RV) Camping Conference has clearly evolved from a conventional meeting event into an “industry-scenario-oriented” gathering.
