Full Moon Mid-Autumn | Unveiling of the "Must-Drive 318—Enshi Grand Canyon" Road Sign

On September 13, the China Automobile Culture Grand Tour and the National Highway G318 Autumn Journey arrived at the Enshi Grand Canyon to unveil the "Highway Code" of the Enshi stop—1520KM.

In the afternoon of the 13th, the convoy arrived at the Enshi Grand Canyon, where participants drank "smash-the-bowl" wine, toured the canyon, and unveiled the highest-altitude road sign in Hubei Province so far—the "Must-Drive 318—Enshi Grand Canyon" sign—at the Qixingzhai viewing platform of the Enshi Grand Canyon, revealing the 1520KM "Highway Code" of the Enshi stop and stamping the convoy’s travel passport.

At the unveiling ceremony, Xu Jun, Secretary of the Party General Branch and General Manager of Hubei E'tour Investment Tourism Development Co., Ltd., delivered a warm speech. He first extended a hearty welcome to the convoy, stating that friends could fully appreciate the natural charm of the mountain-water scenic area in the Grand Canyon and wished them a pleasant Mid-Autumn Festival in the canyon. He also hoped they would fall in love with the Grand Canyon and recommend it to more friends.

Along the way uphill, we saw spectacular and majestic scenery and felt the warmth of the Enshi people." The Enshi Grand Canyon is a national AAAAA-level scenic spot, featuring a typical and unique karst landform. The grand unveiling ceremony held at the Qixingzhai scenic area of the Grand Canyon left a deep impression. The Enshi Grand Canyon is truly magnificent, and a self-drive trip along G318 must not miss it.

Subsequently, Xu Jun, Secretary of the Party General Branch and General Manager of E'tour Co., Ltd., and Li Keqi, Founder of Aijia Media, jointly unveiledthe "Enshi Grand Canyon G318 Check-in Station" sign. After Xu Jun presented travel passports to club representatives, Li Keqi awarded the Enshi Grand Canyon stop a commemorative license plate numbered "0053," symbolizing the "valley."

Lu Zhijun, Vice President of the Hubei Self-Driving Tour Association and RV & Camping Association, Li Xiaowei, Deputy General Manager of Hubei Communications Investment Logistics Group, the management team of the Enshi Grand Canyon scenic area, representatives from self-driving tour associations and clubs across the country, media representatives, and local Enshi self-driving enthusiasts—approximately100 people—attended the event.

Under the full moon of Mid-Autumn, after enjoying a rich feast of Tujia specialty cuisine at the Enshi Grand Canyon Nverzhai Resort Hotel, convoy members watched the large-scale live-action performance—“Dragon Boat Tune.” The storyline of the performance, in which Tujia sons and daughters overcome hardships and pursue love, resonates with the 1520KM "Highway Code," which symbolizes love.

Hidden among the towering mountains of western Hubei, Enshi stands out with its breathtaking landscapes and rich Tusi culture, making it a truly unique destination. The national5A-level Enshi Grand Canyon can rival the Grand Canyon in the United States. With its sheer cliffs, cascading waterfalls, solitary peaks, and deep gorges, it is a veritable museum of karst landforms and a shining jewel on the ribbon of G318.

China Automobile Culture Grand Tour and National HighwayThe G318 Autumn Journey, planned and initiated by Aijia Media, was proudly led by China’s premium SUV—WEY VV6. It was guided by the Shanghai Automobile Culture Festival Organizing Committee, the International Mountain Tourism Alliance, and the Tourism & Transportation Committee of the China Highway Society. From August 30 to October 4, spanning 36 days and covering 36 stops from Shanghai to the China-Nepal border, the journey united government and enterprise partners, research institutions, national self-driving associations and clubs along the route. Through a user-centered deep experience and collective exploration of G318, it paid tribute to the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China in the form of a highway culture celebration.
