As winter arrives, floral displays also shift with the seasons. The Eco Park in the Tongluo Industrial Area of Miaoli is famed for its bougainvillea-lined walking trail, which typically begins blooming in late January and continues until February. This year, before the end of January, the bougainvillea along the trail has gradually begun to bloom.

Tongluo Eco Park is located next to the Tongluo Industrial Area on Miaoli Route 119, where its nearly hundred-meter-long double-layered flower wall is the most spectacular sight. Thousands of golden tangerine-colored flowers cascade down, creating an overwhelmingly beautiful view.

Bougainvillea gets its name from its resemblance to firecrackers; it’s also known as flame vine or golden coral. The orange-yellow bougainvillea flowers that hang from the walls, when in full bloom, create a sea of flowers that looks like a golden waterfall pouring down. The clusters of flowers, resembling strings of firecrackers, burst open, and from a distance, it looks like a stunning orange-gold waterfall.
