60 cute and fluffy sheep are scattered across the lush green grass, creating an incredibly heartwarming sight. The outdoor art installation “Sheep Steps into Poetry” created by artist Tsai Kun-lin has made its appearance at the New Taipei Metropolitan Park. Its charming and adorable appearance makes both kids and adults stop to take photos.

The artwork “Sheep Steps into Poetry” by artist Tsai Kun-lin takes its name from the humorous Taiwanese Hokkien pronunciation “Suī-bē līng iûnn” (meaning feeling joyful), and can be seen just by exiting Exit 1A of Sanchong Metro Station—you’ll find 60 adorable sheep on the lawn. Both adults and children rush to take photos with them, making it super heartwarming.
Children under 20 kilograms can also take photos while sitting with the sheep.
Previously exhibited in places like Tainan and Kaohsiung, “Sheep Steps into Poetry” had always been displayed in enclosed areas where people could only look but not touch. Now, for its debut at the New Taipei Metropolitan Park, touching the artwork is allowed for the first time, aiming to bring everyone a full dose of happiness.
The “Sheep Steps into Poetry” art installation was previously shown in Tainan and Kaohsiung before moving to the New Taipei Metropolitan Park.
Upon exiting Exit 1 of Sanchong Station on the Taoyuan Airport MRT Line, you’ll see 60 adorable sheep-shaped art pieces in front of Chen Guang Bridge. You can take photos and even touch the artworks to experience the creativity—but since the pieces are delicate, adults are asked not to climb or sit on them. Sitting on the sheep for photos is limited to children under 20 kilograms, and parents are urged to supervise and ensure safety.
Adorable and healing sheep are visible right after exiting the metro—making it a great spot for family outings during holidays.
Spanning 424 hectares, the New Taipei Metropolitan Park not only features these warm and lovely outdoor art installations, but also offers family-friendly play areas such as grassy slides and bumblebee sand pits nearby. No need to travel far for a leisurely holiday—just hop on the metro to enjoy a relaxing and pleasant afternoon.
