After briefly hitting the long-awaited 0.27 in December 2019, the yen dropped to its recent lowest rate of 0.2783 on December 27 (based on the cash selling rate announced by Bank of Taiwan), then gradually climbed. At the start of 2020, the exchange rate reached 0.2799, soon to bid farewell to 0.27.
