The popular chain coffee brand Bruno Cafe is a favorite among many coffee enthusiasts, but now there’s news that due to underwhelming performance, it plans to shut down seven outlets all at once.

Originally operating 46 chain outlets, Bruno Cafe decided to close six stores — Chong’er, Minzu, Jianbei, Bade, Yanji, and Zhonghe Far Eastern — after their leases expired in December, citing poorer-than-expected performance. The long-standing Tamsui branch also shut its doors in January.
Bruno Cafe currently maintains operations at 39 outlets.
While the closures have saddened loyal customers, Bruno Cafe has stated that it will arrange staff transfers to other branches or handle matters in accordance with the Labor Standards Act. Currently, 39 branches remain in operation.
