For travelers who frequently take TRA trains for leisure, the signature dark blue seats and overall color scheme have become iconic. As demand grows, TRA has created dedicated Taiwan sightseeing trains for rail journeys, recently unveiling a brand-new design that has delighted travelers.

The new design of Taiwan’s sightseeing train business class has been unveiled.

The design concept aims to transform Taiwan’s natural elements into the scenery inside the train—transitioning from city to countryside, from inside to outside the windows. Seats symbolizing the sea and pebbles are paired with electrically embroidered blue-black headrests bearing the TRA emblem, Hualien marble-patterned tabletops, and large-area woven-texture carpets that create a sleek feel, connecting the interior and exterior into one cohesive scenic experience.

The design concept is built around transforming Taiwan’s natural elements into the scenery inside the train.

The natural and minimalist aesthetic design has been widely praised and loved by travelers. The sightseeing train carriages are divided into three sections: the business class with spacious, 2+1 wide and comfortable non-restrictive seating; the bar car equipped with refrigeration and heating facilities, offering diverse dining options; and the lounge car featuring audiovisual equipment and swivel seats for a luxurious and relaxing experience.

Spacious, comfortable, and non-restrictive interior seating.

The carriages are divided into three types: business class, bar car, and lounge car.

The business class seats, headrests, and window curtains are all thoughtfully designed. The headrests, featuring a minimalist design, have been changed to a desaturated “gray-blue” to complement the electrically embroidered TRA I-beam track logo, exuding premium quality.
