The Zhong residence once had extensive tea plantations. Built along the mountain terrain, this grand three-courtyard compound features a two-story right wing. Constructed in the early years of the Republic of China, it is now over 98 years old. The right wing was renovated in the 1950s, but most of the structure retains its original appearance.

Feifengshan Trail
At an elevation of 435.5 meters, Feifeng Mountain is the highest peak of Jiuzhishan. The mountain is covered with white plum blossoms, azaleas, and flamboyant flowers, and its landscape transforms with the seasons. In summer, when the flowers bloom, the area is ablaze with red, while in winter, the plum blossoms create a snowy scene. “Feifeng Peeking at Plum Blossoms” has long been listed as one of the Eight Scenic Spots of Zhushan.

Luliao Keng Trail
The Luliao Keng Rest Area’s Tung Blossom Trail is a well-organized route for enjoying tung blossoms. Among them, the Wetland Farm Trail is the most distinctive. With abundant water sources and minimal human disturbance, it preserves a rich ecosystem and boasts a wide variety of bird species. While walking through the forest, you can often hear the calls of Taiwan blue magpies and fairy pitta birds. The Wetland Farm is also the best spot to enjoy the firefly season on summer evenings.
