Founded in Tokyo in 1974, “Kyushu-ya” has 93 stores across Japan. In 2019, its first overseas branch, “9 Palette Parlor,” opened on the 2nd floor of Taipei’s Breeze Center A.T. Recently, 9 Palette Parlor has launched a “Strawberry Series” of desserts and drinks, attracting many foodies eager to try new flavors and take photos.

The Strawberry Series from 9 Palette Parlor uses plump, bright red Japanese strawberries. Among them is the beauty-enhancing “Pink Lady Amazake,” which has only the natural sweetness of rice and is alcohol-free. Made with fresh strawberries, apples, and bananas, it’s a popular drink that has recently captivated the Japanese.

The Strawberry Series includes the “Japanese Strawberry Sundae” and “Taiwanese Strawberry Sundae,” where fresh strawberries, strawberry jelly, honey jelly, strawberry freeze-dried bits, and Hokkaido milk ice cream are layered in a cup. This seasonal delicacy lets you indulge without flying all the way to Japan.

The “Japanese Strawberry Ice Cream” features a rich Hokkaido milk ice cream paired with a single Japanese strawberry priced between 50 and 70 TWD – a paradise treat that strawberry lovers can’t miss.

Other signature items at the store are also worth trying.
