The Taipei 101 New Year’s Eve fireworks show is coming soon. Not only is it the most anticipated event across Taiwan, but the new highlights each year have also won the hearts of travelers. In 2020, Taipei 101 themed its fireworks display “Hope Light Taiwan,” symbolizing Taiwan as a ship of hope collectively welcoming the new year 2020.

The adorable Formosan leopard also appeared on the 101 building’s exterior “T-Pad” screen.
This year, not only do the fireworks last a full 300 seconds — giving travelers more than enough to enjoy — but blessings and images of Taiwan’s precious protected species such as little Formosan leopards and Formosan black bears also appear on the 101’s exterior “T-Pad,” creating a delightful contrast with the dazzling fireworks.

This year’s fireworks introduce their latest breakthrough: the “Three Fantasy Color Transformations.”
This year’s fireworks feature the “Three Fantasy Color Transformations,” breaking through previous years’ limitation where each firework could only display one color. From launch to fade-out, each firework will shift through three colorful stages, mesmerizing and dazzling, making it the biggest highlight of this year’s Taipei 101 New Year’s Eve fireworks.
