Last updated 2026-11-08 — During the 2018-2019 ski season, phenix collaborated with HuaBei to successfully host the first Global Online Skiing Grand Prix. Leveraging HuaBei’s internet technology, it combined offline skiing with online competition, pioneering an entirely new event format.

Even in the icy snow, you can feel your blood boil—skiing always gets your adrenaline pumping. Add an exciting competition into the mix, and it makes the season even more unforgettable.

In the 2018-2019 ski season, phenix partnered with HuaBei to successfully organize the first Global Online Skiing Grand Prix. By utilizing HuaBei’s digital capabilities, the event merged real-world skiing with online challenges, creating a groundbreaking competition model. Its innovative rules and attractive prizes significantly boosted enthusiasm among skiers. In just three months, tens of thousands of participants joined, generating astonishing data by season’s end.

High rewards and low barriers created miraculous results.

"Unstoppable by Phi" broke through barriers of region, age, gender, and ski style, with “participation for all” as its core theme. Backed by HuaBei’s extensive club network, the event reached a broad audience of everyday skiing enthusiasts.

By the end of the season, over 20,000 people had participated, spanning generations from youth to seniors. The total logged skiing days reached 189,251—equivalent to one person skiing for 518 years. A total of 834 clubs took part, covering a cumulative distance of 2,410,046,540 meters—enough to circle the Earth six times.

With the strong support of HuaBei’s features, "Unstoppable by Phi" truly became a global competition. Statistics showed that the event covered 264 ski resorts in China and 265 internationally. Tracks were recorded in over 20 countries, including Iran, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Bulgaria… with the farthest reaching Norway. This achievement made phenix (Phoenix) the brand that has hosted events in the most regions worldwide.

A new season is about to begin, and we look forward to even greater success.

"Unstoppable by Phi" emerged in the vast and developing Chinese market. Its successful execution revealed immense potential within the ice and snow industry. It not only propelled new directions for China’s sports sector but also provided ordinary skiing enthusiasts with a more comprehensive and thrilling platform.

Continuing with this innovative competition model, phenix (Phoenix) and HuaBei are bringing back the second Global Online Skiing Grand Prix, "Unstoppable by Phi," for the 2019-2020 season. This new season will be club-based, focusing on “Popularity Index” and “Ski Distance” as evaluation metrics, and offering prizes worth up to 200,000 RMB along with a 50,000 RMB cash award. It encourages skiers to join clubs, ski more, and enjoy the thrill of winter sports.
