1. Tai’an Elementary School
Located next to Tai’an Elementary School in Houli, Taichung, visitors should park their cars at the small intersection and walk in. This large expanse of bald cypress forest displays a rich tapestry of staggered, gradient colors. Sometimes there’s water on the ground, with rice paddies nearby, and the reflections in the ponds enhance the poetic ambiance of the scenery.

2. Sanwan Bald Cypress Secret Spot
The bald cypress forest in Sanwan, Miaoli, is a hidden watery forest nestled in the mountains. Most of the trees have already turned red, and the lake reflects the orange-red bald cypresses. Not only can you get up close to the trees, but you can also walk through them or climb up the nearby hill to enjoy the stunning views of the bald cypresses from three different perspectives: on the water, on land, and from above.

3. Chenglin Agarwood Scented Forest Museum
Located in Yunlin, the Chenglin Agarwood Scented Forest Museum is Asia’s only agarwood ecological park. Outdoors, there’s a Japanese garden, a sand play area, and over 80 types of trees for visitors to admire. The most popular attraction is the scenic ecological pond, where several bald cypresses are turning red. Standing on the heart-shaped island in the middle of the water is incredibly romantic and full of atmosphere.
