The 2019 Taoyuan Flower Color Festival is here！The Daxi District exhibition runs from November 9 to November 17, themed “Dancing with Flowers, Sharing Joy with the People” and set against the backdrop of the century-old Li Teng-Fang Historic House, featuring 17 hectares of vast flower fields, 10 creative floral totems, and an 8-meter-wide flower field stage; on weekends, various performance events, farm experiences, and rural tours are arranged to lead travelers closer to rural life and enjoy the cozy atmosphere of being surrounded by flowers.

The Taoyuan Flower Color Festival runs from November 9 to December 1, lasting 23 days. It kicks off in Daxi, followed by the joint blossoming of the Zhongli and Pingzhen zones. The Daxi exhibition area is located within the Yuemei Leisure Agriculture Area, with the century-old Li Teng-Fang Historic House as its landmark and near the Daxi Old Street. The 20-hectare flower field transforms fallow fields into a moving floral carpet using flowers such as cosmos and zinnias.

The Daxi exhibition area opens first, with the main highlight being the flower field stage standing in the middle of the flower field. Conceptualized as a flower-viewing courtyard, the 8-meter-wide iron mushroom-shaped stage is wrapped with floral installations, casting beautiful light and shadow as sunlight shines through; the secondary exhibition area features the wildly popular welcome tea-serving teapot totem and a 43-meter-high Christmas tree totem, both stunningly beautiful.

On November 16, there is also the unique “Fairy Waltz” nighttime event, where colorful glowing inflatable punching balls light up with every tap, inviting everyone to dance along with the flowers. Weekends also feature joyful carnivals, family fun events, and Yuemei highlight shows as themed performance activities.
