There are currently two typhoons in the Pacific: Typhoon Fengshen (No. 25) and Typhoon Kalmaegi (No. 26). Kalmaegi is having a greater impact on southern and southeastern Taiwan. Meanwhile, northern and northeastern Taiwan will see rainfall starting Thursday, with temperatures also dropping to around 20°C, and as low as 19°C in the early morning.

A tropical depression originally located in the sea east of the Philippines developed into a mild typhoon “Kalmaegi” (No. 26, international name KALMAEGI) at 8:00 AM on the 13th. Its central pressure was 998 hPa. At 8:00 AM on the 13th, its center was located at 12.7°N, 129°E, approximately 890 kilometers southeast of Manila (1,370 kilometers southeast of Eluanbi), moving west-northwest at a speed of 17 km/h. The maximum wind speed near the center was 18 m/s (about 65 km/h), equivalent to Force 8 winds, with gusts up to 25 m/s (about 90 km/h), equivalent to Force 10 winds. The radius of the 7-level gale was 100 km. It is predicted that at 8:00 AM on the 14th, its center will be located 490 kilometers east of Manila (1,020 kilometers south-southeast of Eluanbi). Ships sailing and operating in the sea east of the Philippines should exercise particular caution.
Typhoon Kalmaegi.
Mild Typhoon Fengshen (No. 25, international name FENGSHEN) has a central pressure of 995 hPa. At 8:00 AM on the 13th, its center was located at 17.2°N, 156°E, approximately 1,270 kilometers northeast of Guam (3,740 kilometers east of Eluanbi), moving west-northwest at a speed of 20 km/h. The maximum wind speed near the center was 20 m/s (about 72 km/h), equivalent to Force 8 winds, with gusts up to 28 m/s (about 101 km/h), equivalent to Force 10 winds. The radius of the 7-level gale was 100 km. It is predicted that at 8:00 AM on the 14th, its center will be located at 18°N, 150.7°E, approximately 810 kilometers northeast of Guam (3,160 kilometers east of Eluanbi).
On Thursday and Friday, the 14th and 15th, under the influence of the northeast monsoon, the weather will be cooler in the north and northeast, while other regions will also be quite cool in the morning and evening, with large day-night temperature differences in central and southern Taiwan. On the 14th, there will be localized brief showers in the northern and northeastern regions, and scattered brief showers in the eastern and southeastern regions. On the 15th, there will be scattered brief showers in the eastern half of the island, while other regions will be mostly cloudy to sunny.
On Saturday and Sunday, the 16th and 17th, the northeast monsoon will weaken slightly, but it will still be cool in the morning and evening across the regions, with large day-night temperature differences in central and southern Taiwan. There will be localized brief showers in the eastern and southeastern regions, as well as scattered brief showers in the northeastern region, while other areas will have mostly cloudy to sunny weather.
On the 18th, as a frontal system passes and the northeast monsoon strengthens again, the weather in the north and northeast will turn cooler, and it will also be quite cool in the morning and evening in other regions. The northern and northeastern regions will experience brief showers, and there will also be localized brief showers in the eastern and southeastern regions, while other areas will be mostly cloudy to sunny.
