May 19 was China's second National Tourism Day. The 2012 Jincheng City's first "KAILAS" Cup Rock Climbing Competition was held at the Shanliquan Tourist Scenic Area. The event was jointly organized by the municipal mountaineering and outdoor sports association, the expansion training school of the municipal youth activity center, and the Shanliquan Tourist Scenic Area. All participants were rock climbing enthusiasts. The competition included both men's and women's speed climbing events. Over 150 contestants from Taiyuan, Changzhi, Luoyang, and locally in Jincheng competed, attracting nearly a thousand spectators. After a day of intense competition, two athletes from Luoyang Leyou Outdoor won the first prizes in the men's and women's categories respectively, while the second prizes went to contestants from the city's secondary specialized school and the city's mobile company.
