The “2019 Zhubei Husheng Fish Festival” will be held on the 16th and 17th at Zhubei Cultural Park. This year, the event adds the “Husheng Princess Beauty Pageant” and the “Husheng Delicacy Feast,” promising a vibrant outdoor food party full of sights, sounds, and tastes. Zhubei Mayor He Hanming welcomes people from all regions to come and enjoy the most flavorful autumn light getaway.

On the 12th, He Hanming, along with Fu Qizhe, deputy director of the county’s Agriculture Department, among others, used a hammer to break ice at Cultural Park, officially announcing the “Husheng Good Food Festival” activities for the 16th and 17th. Operators such as Fule Leisure Fishing Village presented a serving show featuring local ingredients like Zhubei chicken and husheng fish, highlighting the richness of the banquet-style “Husheng Delicacy Feast.”

He Hanming said that a 6,000-yuan banquet spread can be enjoyed for just 3,000 yuan. All 25 tables on the 16th and 20 tables on the 17th were booked out instantly online. To ensure food lovers who missed out aren’t disappointed, five additional tables will be available on the 17th, giving the public more opportunities to appreciate the taste and unique qualities of Zhubei’s abundant husheng fish harvest.

He Hanming also mentioned that this year’s event includes a new “Husheng Princess Beauty Pageant,” judged by well-known models such as Xia Ruzhi from EeLin Entertainment. In addition to celebrity chef Zhang Qiuyong demonstrating cooking, families can sample free husheng delicacies on-site and participate in two fun competitions. Zhang Qiuyong demonstrated husheng fish egg fried rice on-site, which both He Hanming and Lin Qixian, chairman of the city council, highly praised after tasting.

Both days’ events begin at 3:00 PM and include family-friendly activities such as “Fish & Wood Stamping DIY,” “Bamboo Basket Crafting DIY,” and “VR Virtual Reality Experiences.” In the evening at 6:00 PM both days, music concerts feature performances by several well-known singers, ensuring visitors enjoy a delicious and entertaining Husheng Good Food Festival.
