A Changchun outdoor enthusiast, while leading a group of hikers on a mountain climb, accidentally captured a strange plant reflection. When the photo was taken, the reflection resembled a dynamic scene of "Nezha Conquering the Sea," leaving everyone marveling at the wonders of nature.
Han Jingfang, 54, is a seasoned outdoor enthusiast. Five years ago, when outdoor sports were just gaining popularity in Changchun, he fell in love with the "hiker" lifestyle. He even set up a QQ group and led over 200 outdoor enthusiasts on adventures and trips. On May 28, while hiking on the northern side of the middle section of Songhua Lake with fellow hikers, he unexpectedly discovered Viola crassa, and the reflection of this plant strikingly resembled Nezha Conquering the Sea. He wanted to share this magical plant with more people.

Fell in Love with Outdoor Sports Five Years Ago
In Han Jingfang's words, ever since he got into outdoor sports, not only has his health improved, but his mental state has also become younger. "Five years ago, when outdoor sports were just becoming popular in Changchun, I tried it for the first time and immediately fell in love. After that, I was completely hooked and committed to organizing two to three outdoor activities every week." Over time, Han Jingfang also created a QQ group, which now has 260 members.

Every time he goes out, Han Jingfang will call out in the group to see who’s up for joining him, and usually, five or six people respond. Han Jingfang said, "Before I got into outdoor sports, I always had no appetite, struggled to eat, and felt indigestion—even squatting down was hard. But after exercising, my health improved a lot, my lung capacity increased, and my pharyngitis got better."
Whenever he talks about the benefits of exercise, Han Jingfang speaks animatedly. While benefiting himself, he also encourages more people to join the movement.

At 10:19 AM on May 28, Han Jingfang took 34 hikers on a bus to Yangmudadingzi on the northern side of the middle section of Songhua Lake for a hike. At the mountaintop, Han Jingfang and the group identified plants together when he suddenly noticed a strange shadow that caught his eye. The group leader "Tianya Mingyue" also saw it, and they took the photo together.
Back home, when viewing the photo on the computer, Han Jingfang realized that the shadow was a dynamic image of a child projected by a flower onto a leaf. The slightly chubby child had one arm bent in front, the other straight behind, one leg in a golden rooster stance, and the other knee lifted. The posture was upright and slightly forward, resembling a martial arts move. Even the sepals of the flower cast shadows like the child’s angry little pigtails. Due to the curve of the leaf, the stem of the flower cast a shadow like Nezha’s Hunyuan Rope, creating a naturally ingenious shape—thus named Nezha Conquering the Sea.
"I often go hiking with botany teachers from Jilin Agricultural University. Over time, I’ve learned to recognize many plants through their introductions. Every time I go hiking with the group, I also lead everyone to identify plants and have collected quite a few medicinal plants," Han Jingfang said. "Exercise can make people healthier and younger. We’ve always advocated for a healthy lifestyle and hope everyone can step out of their homes, get outdoors, and do some exercise. You might not go far, but with consistent effort, the rewards will definitely be great."
