It is reported that “Ye Ban Wo Xing” · 2012 Lafuma Hiking Season is a large-scale themed hiking series organized by the renowned French outdoor brand Lafuma and hosted by the marketing consultancy Lingdong Shanshui. The entire event spans seven months and is divided into four major divisions across the country: North China, Northeast China, Northwest China, and Southwest China. With an online thematic website serving as the recruitment and selection platform, and complemented by distinctive offline hiking activities, the event comprehensively evaluates participants’ outdoor capabilities through multiple rounds of competition, ultimately selecting four divisional champions and various other awards. So far, the event has reached its halfway point, and the hiking activities at the North China division — Beijing Lingshan Station — and the Northeast China division — Jilin Changbai Mountain Station — have received an enthusiastic response and widespread praise, quickly sparking a summer “leaf-seeking” hiking craze.
As the first stop of the event, the North China division attracted hundreds of outdoor enthusiasts, creating an unprecedentedly grand and fiercely competitive atmosphere. According to the organizing committee, the North China division spanned three months and was divided into five stages: preliminary selection, advancement, offline activity, sharing and exchange, and finals. Each stage underwent rigorous screening and elimination, involving online showcases, hiking competitions, online voting, and judge scoring. The competition was strictly structured, with comprehensive assessment criteria and meticulous evaluation, making it a challenging and demanding journey every step of the way.

During the competition, contestants in the North China division gave their all, fully demonstrating their diverse outdoor skills. Online voting saw particularly active participation, with website traffic soaring. “Although there are many strong competitors here, which made me feel a lot of pressure, the prizes are just too tempting. I had to give it my all!” said “Shan Yang,” an advancing contestant from the North China division. In the final expert judging and online scoring phase, contestants also stayed closely engaged, interacting and sharing insights via platforms such as Weibo, SNS, and QQ groups. The entire competition process kept the contestants on tenterhooks.

After multiple rounds of selection, contestant “Zheng Wu Yang Guang” demonstrated exceptional strength, overcoming all challenges to claim the North China division championship with an overwhelming total of 2,592 votes, marking a resounding start for the entire event. “I’m very happy to receive this award. The journey wasn’t easy, and I’d like to thank my friends who supported and encouraged me, as well as the Lafuma brand for organizing such a wonderful event that provided hikers with the opportunity to realize their dreams,” said the North China division champion “Zheng Wu Yang Guang.”
Meanwhile, numerous online and offline awards were also presented during the event. Pang Qi, Wa Ha Ha, and Zou Si Fang won the Best Popularity Award, Best Showcase Award, and Best Strategy Award respectively for their impressive online showcases. Additionally, contestants such as Ye Zi, Midnight Sun, and LILY-依然 secured several offline awards with their outstanding performance. Lafuma prepared valuable prizes worth thousands of yuan for all winners, including top-tier outdoor gear such as the 2012 Outdoor Magazine award-winning hiking shoes, backpacks, and Lafuma Gore-Tex jackets.

Ultimately, the North China division champion will, on November 1, join the other three divisional champions on a trip to Anneyron (阿内龙), the hometown of Lafuma, and visit the alpine-style town of Chamonix (霞慕尼), known as the outdoor sanctuary of the Alps. They will enjoy a free seven-day “Hometown of Leaves” romantic outdoor journey in France. “Congratulations to the North China division champion, and many thanks to the other contestants for their strong support and recognition of the event.
