Dear hiking enthusiasts, following the launch of three-layer?Gore-Tex® fabric, Gore launched a national consumer hiking experience campaign in Taiwan from September 15 to November 20, 2012. Consumers who own clothing products made with Gore-Tex®?fabric can apply at designated retail stores of Ozark?(Ozark), BLACK YAK?(Black Yak), NORTHLAND (Norrona), Lafuma?and TOREAD?(Toread) and SALEWA (Salewa) brands to join Lei Diansheng on a trip to Taiwan and experience the outdoor hiking adventure on this beautiful island together.
Gore will select participants based on their previous outdoor activity experience, especially their alpine hiking skills and experience.
Hehuan Mountain, also known as Hehuan Main Peak, is one of Taiwan’s Hundred Peaks, located at the border of Hualien County and Nantou County. It is part of the Hehuan Mountain Range, which consists of seven connected peaks and serves as the watershed for major Taiwanese rivers such as the Dajia River, Zhuoshui River, and Liwu River. In winter, Hehuan Mountain is covered in snow and is known as the “Snow Town.” In spring and summer, the area features scenic grasslands of Yushan dwarf bamboo and blossoms of Yushan rhododendron and red azalea. Accommodation options in the Hehuan Mountain area include Hehuan Mountain Lodge and Songxue Lodge, located at km 33 on Provincial Highway 14A. There is an observation deck along the road offering views of the Qilai Mountain Range, and the location also serves as a starting point for climbing Hehuan East Peak, Hehuan Sharp Peak, Shimen Mountain, and the northern section of the Central Mountain Range.
