Not only is Xindian ???? Lake adorable by name, but its azure waters and breathtaking mountain-and-lake views are truly captivating. In the 1960s, it was a popular dating spot, though it has since become less crowded over time. With its crystal-clear lake surface and seasonal blooms of Bidens pilosa and Wedelia chinensis, the lake offers a serene and peaceful atmosphere with fewer visitors.

Taoyuan Valley was once a place for grazing cattle during farming off-seasons, also known as Big Cattle Field. There are four main access routes to the valley. Enter through the trailhead and walk up the forest staircase path, where the view suddenly opens up to a vast grassland. At the ridge top, you'll find a high vantage point overlooking the northeastern scenic area, with both the Lanyang Plain and Guishan Island spread out beneath your feet. The interplay of mountains and sea makes this a favorite spot for hikers and outdoor enthusiasts.

Located in the Dulan Secret Land of Fushan in Wulai, upstream along the Nanshi River of the Xindian River, travelers can visit the Atayal tribe, get close to the forest and streams, breathe in the freshest phytoncides, release urban stress, gaze at the Dulan tribal area, and experience the hunting lifestyle of the Atayal people.

Dream Lake is located at the source of the Xinshan Stream, a tributary of the Beigang Stream at the foot of Xinshan Mountain, at an altitude of 325 meters. It was originally a small irrigation reservoir for farmers, shaped like a triangle with each side about 50 meters long. The lake water is clear and beautiful, reflecting the dense tree shade. Often shrouded in mist during winter, it creates a dreamlike ambiance, hence the name “Dream Lake,” and is considered the most beautiful lake in Xizhi. There are two pavilions by the lake, offering a quiet space for travelers to enjoy its tranquil and refreshing atmosphere.
