The Shilin Night Market is a well-known and popular destination for many tourists in Taiwan. In 2011, it was rebuilt as a new market, with many food stalls moved underground to create the “Shilin Market.” Now, the Shilin Market will be closed for one month in November for a full renovation.

To provide a better dining environment and ensure safety, the Shilin Market is not only undergoing a complete renovation but also having its public utilities and equipment inspected and upgraded, aiming to reopen in December with a brand-new look.

The first floor of the Shilin Market sells fresh groceries, the first basement level houses the food court, while the second and third basement levels are parking areas. During the one-month closure and renovation period, aside from the temporary shutdown of the first basement level, the first-floor daytime market, evening night markets nearby, and the parking area will continue to operate as normal.
