The “Taocheng Art Exhibition” began seven years ago as a local call-for-entry competition and expanded to a national one, successfully elevating the level of artistic creation, competitiveness, and creative thinking. The “14th Taocheng Art Exhibition” touring exhibition is on display at the Changhua County Cultural Affairs Bureau until August 29. The public is welcome to come and explore the imaginative worlds of the creators.
The Taocheng Art Exhibition features a total of 23 sculpture works and 18 video works, ranging from two-dimensional to three-dimensional, transforming imaginative spaces into tangible forms. The exhibits are diverse and outstanding, showcasing a variety of creative styles, techniques, and ideas, attracting creators from across the country to compete on the same stage.

The First Prize-winning sculpture “Moment” by artist Ding Zonghua uses raw wood as the medium, aligning with the essence of life. The carving is delicate and precise, with an accurate grasp of the figures’ forms and highly humorous and engaging expressions. The flat image category adopted a “series format” for submissions, where creators conveyed the meaning of their works through storytelling. The First Prize-winning work “Taihe? Go For It!” by Cai Kunlong combines the event’s protagonists and settings to tell the stories of four disaster-stricken areas, earning the “Ouyang Award.”
