Chiang Hsiu-chen, Taiwan’s first woman to complete the Seven Summits and scale Mount Everest (Qomolangma) twice, shared her rich mountaineering experiences and insights with students and faculty at National Kaohsiung University on the 24th. The climbing journey often involved harsh weather conditions, and facing life-and-death moments made her realize how fragile and precious life is, leading her to the realization that one must have confidence but also maintain a humble attitude.
