A group of Nepalese mountaineers were hit by an avalanche while climbing the world's highest peak, Mount Everest, resulting in at least 12 deaths and multiple people missing.
The incident occurred around 6 a.m. local time when the climbers were at an altitude of approximately 5,800 meters. It is estimated that some of the missing individuals are buried under the snow.
