Seven hikers went missing on Qingshuiying Ancient Trail in Pingtung at 4 p.m., prompting a search by police and firefighters. Around 7 p.m., all seven were located. It turned out they were simply moving too slowly and lost track of time, but fortunately, no one was injured — a false alarm.
Seven hikers who had set out from Pingtung were originally scheduled to leave the Kalaban Tribe on Qingshuiying Ancient Trail at 4 p.m. today but lost contact nearby. Local police and firefighters were alerted and launched a search to locate the missing hikers as soon as possible.
The seven hikers were found by police and firefighters at around 7 p.m. It was confirmed that their slow pace caused the delay, and all were unharmed when located.
