Russians are rightfully known as the "fighting nation." Recently, one particularly strong Russian man accomplished an astonishing feat: carrying a 75-kilogram barbell to summit Mount Elbrus, Europe’s highest mountain.
For most people, simply lifting a 75kg barbell is already quite a challenge, let alone carrying it up a mountain — that would be nothing short of incredible. But for Russian strongman Andrey Rodichev, it was a piece of cake. He recently succeeded in carrying a 75kg barbell to the top of Europe’s tallest peak, Mount Elbrus.
To achieve this seemingly impossible mission, Andrey trained extremely hard, leaving no detail to chance in his preparation. For starters, he not only ran daily while carrying a 10-kilogram weight, but also made special trips to the gym for weight training. All this effort helped him shed 20 kilograms, getting his body into peak condition for the feat.
After spending eight days successfully climbing Mount Elbrus, Andrey left the 75kg barbell at the summit as a memento and to promote the sport of weightlifting.
