The school stated that Zhuang Zhiyang, 39 years old and a father of three, is very popular among students and loves hiking. His whole family often hikes in Nantou, so he took advantage of the 228 holiday to go to Shuili and Xinyi Township. He was originally scheduled to return home on the 29th, but he has since vanished without a trace. His family did not bring his mobile phone with them, making it impossible to locate him via GPS. The Xinyi Police Precinct said that they are currently using surveillance footage and have deployed over a hundred personnel to search for Zhuang Zhiyang.
