Miaoli: On the 10th, seven hikers from Tainan City planned to complete an O-shaped trek of Jiashan Mountain and Hakani Mountain in Nanzhuang Township, Miaoli County, within a single day. In the evening, near Rescue Pile No. 10 along the railway line, they got lost due to unfamiliarity with the terrain and immediately called 119 for help. The Nanzhuang Fire Brigade dispatched seven police, volunteer firefighters, and conscripts equipped for the mission to conduct a mountain rescue. Late that night, the seven individuals were safely escorted back to the trailhead, with only one elderly hiker showing slight signs of exhaustion.
