The race course was built around the winter ski slopes and mountain golf courses within the Changbai Mountain International Resort. Runners raced along the globally recognized golden latitude belt for mountain resorts between 41-46 degrees north, surrounded by birch trees, green grass, birdsong, and fragrant blooms—elements that added to the event’s charm and attracted runners of all ages from different walks of life. Despite the challenging sections, the athletes remained undeterred, appearing joyful, confident, and full of positive energy in front of the cameras.
Although the race took place in the height of summer, the resort enjoyed cool and pleasant temperatures, with PM2.5 levels consistently around 10 year-round. Athletes breathed in the abundant and unique negative ions of the Changbai Mountain air as they ran along the newly designed and developed course. The route started from the Wanda Changbai Mountain International Resort, passed through forest trails in the resort’s pristine woodlands, featured several climbs offering panoramic views, traversed gravel paths, and finally converged at the foot of the Shaman Square.
