On the 15th, Longzhong Network Company organized a staff outing, during which 15 employees hiked at Jiujiaoliao Mountain in Xindian District, New Taipei City. They were scheduled to descend in the evening, but due to getting lost and poor mobile signal in the mountainous area, they were unaccounted for by 11 p.m. After their families reported the situation to the police for help, the New Taipei City Fire Department mobilized over 20 personnel for a search and rescue mission on the mountain. The 15 employees were found at 2:40 a.m. on the 16th, and all were confirmed to be safe and have since descended the mountain.
