According to the UK’s Daily Mail, hiking enthusiast Deyan Kossev recently discovered a giant tree deep in the forests of Bulgaria’s Balkan Mountains that closely resembles the Ents from The Lord of the Rings.
The Bulgarian native, an avid hiker, spotted the roughly 20-meter-tall humanoid tree while exploring the forest. This massive beech tree has branches that form a human-like shape — with what looks like a head, arms, and legs — and even its trunk is proportioned like a human body.
Kossev said he was left speechless when he saw the “humanoid tree,” as it looked like a real-life version of the Ents — characters from J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings series.
