The Yilan County Fire Bureau said today that around 5 p.m., they received a report that a group of 24 people were hiking on the Songluo Lake Trail in Datong Township. By the time of the report, 7 had already descended, but 17 were still on the mountain. The fire bureau dispatched rescue personnel and vehicles from the Datong branch to assist in guiding them down.
The fire bureau stated that these 17 people were delayed in descending due to slippery roads from the rain, difficult trail conditions, and physical exhaustion. No injuries have been reported so far. 1050605
