A hiker surnamed Zhang, experiencing severe hemorrhoid pain that made walking difficult, requested rescue via a helicopter from the Air Force Aviation and Special Operations Command through the Taichung City Fire Department. The patient is currently being helped by fellow hikers to walk to the Xueshan East Peak helipad and is waiting for rescue.
The hiking group of 11 people spent last night at the Sanliujiu Mountain Hut. One of the members, surnamed Zhang, suffered from bleeding due to hemorrhoids, prompting his teammates to report the situation to the Taichung City Fire Department early in the morning.
The patient has been assisted by accompanying hikers to reach the Xueshan East Peak helipad. The Aviation and Special Operations Command received the rescue helicopter request from the Taichung City Fire Department at noon and is preparing to take off for the East Peak depending on weather conditions. 1051213
