Police and firefighters stated that when they arrived at the scene, Tsai was in a weak, semi-conscious state, lying faintly on the mountain trail. Firefighters observed that she had weak breathing, pale complexion, and limp limbs. After checking her pulse, they assessed her vital signs as stable. However, due to the steepness of the mountain path, it was impossible to use a stretcher for transport. Therefore, six or seven personnel — including officers, rescue workers, and hikers — took turns supporting and carrying Tsai in the dark, eventually escorting her to an ambulance which transported her to Yida Hospital for emergency treatment.
Due to the steep, narrow mountain terrain and the approaching darkness, although the rescue took two hours, the officers from Dashe Police Substation fearlessly endured the hardship and spared no effort, ultimately completing the mission successfully. Tsai was discharged that same night and returned the next day with her husband to Dashe Police Substation to thank the police.
