Since the launch of direct flights between Matsuyama and Haneda Airport late last year, this route has gradually become a top choice for travelers visiting Japan. JR East Japan has introduced a Suica & Monorail combo ticket that combines a “round-trip discounted fare” (from Haneda Airport to Hamamatsucho Station on the Tokyo Monorail) with the prepaid electronic money card “Suica,” offering great convenience for travelers.

The Suica & Monorail combo ticket is available in two price options: single journey for 2,400 yen (valid for one day, from Haneda Airport International Terminal to Hamamatsucho Station) and round trip for 2,700 yen (valid for 10 days). Both options include a Suica card with 1,500 yen in stored value and a 500 yen deposit, usable on JR East trains, subways, buses, and station shops.

The combo ticket goes on sale starting February 1, 2011, and is only available to tourists holding a foreign passport. Passengers must show their passport when purchasing. It can be bought at JR East Japan Travel Service Centers or at Haneda Airport International Terminal Station (Tokyo Monorail), during operating hours from 11:00 to 18:30. Additionally, to celebrate the launch, the first 1,000 purchasers will receive a limited-edition “Suica & Monorail” charm. Travelers planning a trip to Japan are encouraged to take advantage of this offer.
