This coffee shop was introduced by HowToTrip. There was a couple sitting by the window, and this time I visited the place nearby. The American guy next to me had just returned from the U.S., and the coffee here gave off a very foreign vibe. This is also the first time I discovered this spot.

The space inside feels very comfortable and relaxing, perfect for reading a book or having a chat.

There are quite a lot of books here too. Ordering a coffee and reading a book is really quite pleasant.

It’s been a while since I’ve been to such a simple coffee shop. The coffee options here are straightforward — there are only a few types to choose from. Usually, I go for a single-origin coffee. Here, there are three brewing methods for single-origin beans: regular pour-over, siphon, and AeroPress. You first choose the coffee bean and then the brewing method.

Nicaragua, Black Mountain Elephant (130 NTD), Sun-dried Yirgacheffe, Adado (130 NTD)
The white cup is what Meijie ordered — the Nicaragua, Black Mountain Elephant, brewed with the regular pour-over method. It comes with a small shared cup. The Nicaragua, Black Mountain Elephant has a bold roast flavor, with mild acidity and not much sourness. It tastes somewhat like rich, fragrant soy sauce, with a hint of sweetness — quite unique. The sourness becomes more noticeable once it cools down.
The transparent cup is what Old K ordered — the sun-dried Yirgacheffe, Adado. Because it was so hot, Old K chose the iced version, which can only be brewed with an AeroPress. The sun-dried Yirgacheffe, Adado is a coffee bean that Old K often orders. It has a floral aroma, a familiar taste. However, the iced version is a bit lighter in flavor. It's better to order it hot to fully appreciate the distinct changes in the coffee's aroma and taste.

While sipping coffee, we also read the manga “Midnight Diner.” We got so into it we got hungry XD
K’s little reminder: This place is really comfortable. The coffee is pretty good too. For the price of single-origin coffee, it’s not expensive, and there are three brewing methods to choose from. Sometimes, doing nothing or just reading a book and chatting over a cup of coffee is a great way to unwind from a busy life before heading out again.
