Spooky Fun to Kick Off July: Dress Up as Monsters and Explore Xitou on a Two-Day, One-Night Trip for Just NT$1,000

This summer vacation, the “Taiwan Tourist Shuttle Xitou Line” has leveled up big time with an upgrade. In collaboration with Xitou Monster Village, the shuttle now offers an exclusive overnight monster-themed version. Travelers can join the joyful and fun-filled pranks carnival in Monster Village, as well as enjoy a deep two-day, one-night experience at Taiji Beautiful Land—all for just NT$1,000 under this special offer.

The “Taiwan Tourist Shuttle Xitou Line” starts from Taichung and stops along the way at attractions such as Lugu and Zhushan in Nantou, as well as Xitou, providing travelers with an in-depth exploration of Nantou. Every summer, it also aligns with Monster Village’s festive events to offer tourists exciting and fun monster-themed experiences.

This year’s event will be held on August 21 and 22 and has been upgraded into a two-day, one-night package. On the first day, participants can dress up as monsters and take the Xitou Line shuttle to Monster Village to join the Monster Mask Carnival. On the second day, they can explore attractions along the Xitou Line, enjoy the beauty of nature, and savor local tea and bamboo shoot dishes. Visitors can also go to Zhushan’s sightseeing factory for hands-on DIY experiences in Taiwan’s cultural and creative industry, or visit the Chelungpu Fault Cultural Park to learn about earthquake knowledge and the history of the 921 Earthquake.

The special discounted package for the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle Xitou Line is open for registration starting July 1. This incredible value package is available for just NT$1,000, but spots are limited—those interested can find out more on the official event website. This year marks the fifth anniversary of the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle Xitou Line, and to thank visitors who have supported Nantou tourism, a one-month photo collection campaign titled “Nantou Travel Memories” is underway.
