66 Doraemons will appear in Tokyo！The “Summer Station Summer Festival,” which was a huge hit when it first launched last year, is back again this year. From the 18th until August 23rd, 66 large Doraemon plush figures will gather at 66 Plaza, the entrance area of Roppongi Hills, to meet fans.

This year’s “Summer Station Summer Festival” features three major Doraemon-themed zones:

1. Doraemon Plaza
66 Doraemons with different expressions are gathered at 66 Plaza, each holding a classic prop that appeared in the manga. In addition to taking photos, visitors can scan the QR code at Doraemon’s feet with their smartphones to read free digital Doraemon comics, available in Japanese, English, and Simplified Chinese. There are 60 stories waiting to be collected!

2. Doraemon Hot Air Balloon
A hot air balloon, said to be the largest in Japan at 10 meters tall, will be set up on the observation deck on the 7th floor of TV Asahi’s headquarters, allowing visitors to enjoy views of the Roppongi area from high above. On weekends and holidays, visitors can also get up close to the balloon.

3. Doraemon 3D Optical Art
For those wanting to take commemorative photos with Doraemon, the organizers have created two optical illusion art installations: the paid “Mysterious Box” and the free “Bamboo-Copter Sky Walk,” where visitors can take fun photos.

The “Bamboo-Copter Sky Walk” is located at 66 Plaza, where Doraemon appears, allowing fans to experience flying around Tokyo with Doraemon, Nobita, and the others using bamboo-copter hats.
