The Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications has officially launched the "Taiwan Fun Card" on the 15th. Currently, two limited-edition cards are available: the "Kaohsiung, Pingtung, and Penghu Limited Card" and the "Yilan Limited Card." Backed by the government, travelers don’t have to worry about hitting any tourist traps.

The "Taiwan Fun Card" combines features such as an e-commerce platform and apps along with travel discounts. The card offers e-commerce platform access, online booking and payment, and app-based convenience. With just one card, users can take public transport, ride ferries, explore tourist attractions, shop at partner stores, and buy souvenirs—all without needing cash.

“Yilan Limited CardHighlighting the concept of a happy city, the card functions as an electronic ticket. Holders can use it to pay for entry to the highly popular Children's Folk Games Festival. In the future, it will also be accepted at over 30 happiness spots in Yilan, including specialty shops, independent bookstores, small farms, unique hot spring resorts, and local businesses—allowing visitors to enjoy the local happiness of Yilan.

“Kaohsiung, Pingtung, and Penghu Limited CardThe Kaohsiung, Pingtung, and Penghu Fun Card continues to integrate nearly 1,000 partner stores across Kaohsiung, Pingtung, and Penghu, offering curated golden travel routes and including a limited edition of 15,000 travel passports as a bonus. Users can also complete online transactions via the card through online credit card payments or ATM transfers. The card emphasizes features such as one-card unlimited travel, the richest selection of travel itineraries, handpicked golden routes, flexible online options, customizable add-ons, convenient card collection, and time and money savings without queuing.
