Japan Airlines Offers "Katsu Sando Sleeping Bags" – Only 10 Lucky Winners

Japanese low-cost carrier Solaseed Air is holding a raffle to celebrate the 10th anniversary of its domestic flight route between Nagasaki and Tokyo, with the prize being a sleeping bag designed to resemble a "katsu sando."

The sleeping bag comes in two forms: one as katsu (fried pork cutlet) and the other as a sleeping bag. The pork-like shape serves as a pillow, all crafted with impressive realism. "Katsu" actually refers to Nagasaki’s “katsu sando manju,” a classic style where pork cutlet is sandwiched between bread. The official website also states that it can be used in various camping locations—whether in forests, grasslands, snowy mountains, mountain areas while enjoying night views, or even at home.

The airline explained that the prize is actually a"sausage roll + manju-shaped sleeping bag"— the design resembles a katsu sando with a pork cutlet inside. The sleeping bag can be laid out or rolled up. The raffle runs from August 1 to September 30. The public can participate online by answering a few simple questions for a chance to win the "Katsu Sando Sleeping Bag."
