The leaning postbox goes viral — businesses jump on the trend with themed cakes you can take home

Just after the typhoon passed, the super-cute leaning postbox has sparked a wave of enthusiasm, with large crowds flocking to take photos with it. Quick-thinking businesses have seized the moment to launch leaning postbox-shaped cakes, riding the “leaning postbox” craze and joining the public in showcasing some adorable charm.

The “Leaning Postbox-Shaped Cupcake” from The Westin Taipei Nan Shan is given free as part of a hotel package, but those who want to try it can also purchase it at any Elite Bakery store across Taiwan for NT$120 each, with a current limit of 100 per store per day. Elite Bakery’s super-cute leaning postbox cupcakes are made with an inner filling of imported French chocolate and plenty of walnuts, topped with pistachio bits for added texture.

Additionally, the World Chocolate Dream Park at Tamsui Fisherman’s Wharf used nearly 20 kilograms of chocolate to create a miniature “Leaning Chocolate Postbox,” also featuring the familiar “Little Red” and “Little Green.”
