Hu Li believes that roast duck is a luxurious addition to a dinner menu, especially when served as a "two-way" dish. It was only during the Kaohsiung Beer Festival’s drinking snack event that she discovered “Yao Ge Roast Duck,” a 30-year-old shop at Wumiao Market. The roast duck here is tender and not inferior to any famous old shop. The roasting process renders out excess fat, leaving the skin crispy and bursting with savory aroma, while the meat remains juicy and never tough~ Every bite is juicy and tender—quick, call your loved ones and prepare an extra dish~~~

Every roast duck shop has its own secret specialty—some have great sauces, others offer excellent pancakes. When it comes to Yao Ge’s roast duck, the first bite reveals an exceptionally tender texture. The boss starts preparing the ducks every morning, and each one is freshly slaughtered and processed on the same day. Only ducks handled that day can deliver such tenderness.

Even though we say this is for adding to your dinner... Hu Li actually often buys it as a regular snack. It goes without saying that there's a “trick to enjoying the crispy skin of roast duck,” and this move might be a bit tricky if you’re riding a motorcycle... maybe you’ll need some practice... Ask the boss to slice it up, but don’t wrap it — take the whole plate away directly so the heat doesn’t steam and soften the crispy skin. It stays just as delicious as when it’s sliced on-site. Actually, there are plenty of tables nearby at the market, so you can also enjoy it right there~~ (//∇//)

Take a pancake, dip the roast duck in a bit of sweet bean sauce, add some scallion slices.... roll it up and pop it into your mouth~~~ What a blissful feeling~~~

The joy of eating roasted pork bones is perfect whether you’re watching gossip shows or TV — chewing and chatting is one of life’s great pleasures~~~

The freshly made roast duck can be seen on-site, at Stall No. 21 in Wumiao Market~

The adorable owner couple, upon seeing someone ready to take a photo, immediately take off their masks and pile the roast ducks up like a little mountain

Traditional markets offer more than just tasty snacks—the deep bond between the vendors and customers is what truly makes them unforgettable. That’s the charm of traditional markets. Hu Li will definitely be back for these crispy-skinned, flavorful roast ducks:) Recommended for those who love juicy meat and the two-way roast duck experience~~~

Life needs experiences, and life needs trying things out!"Taste" is highly subjective—only when your expectations are met and emotions stirred can you achieve the flavor of love.
