Maokong Gondola: We're back in service on the 15th!

The Maokong Gondola in Taipei was damaged by Typhoon Soudelor and is expected to resume operations at 8:30 AM on the 15th. The public is welcome to come and ride.
The Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation stated that due to the typhoon, three "control cables" and two "safety wires" between the Taipei Zoo Station and the Zhinan Temple Station had either sagged or been severed. The Maokong Gondola deployed all nearly 40 maintenance staff and four high-altitude work specialists from contracted vendors to carry out repairs.
Due to poor weather conditions, the repair process was disrupted by lightning strikes, but they still managed to complete the restoration of two "safety wires" and carried out high-altitude work such as securing and re-tensioning three sagging "control cables" between tower pillars.
