Although the opening of the Airport MRT has been postponed again, the Taoyuan City Government announced that it will collaborate with telecom operators to create Taiwan’s first Airport MRT line offering 4G Wi-Fi service along its entire route.

The Taoyuan City Government stated that in conjunction with the opening of the Airport MRT, it plans to connect the airport, Airport MRT, and buses via a 4G network. Residents who wish to use the free WiFi “iTaoyuan／iTaiwan” can first apply online using their domestic mobile number, then log in via the web Portal or by downloading the convenient LeYou app to access the internet.

Additionally, users can also utilize the LeYou app to access real-time transportation information such as flight arrivals and departures, Airport MRT, high-speed rail, Taiwan Railways, buses, intercity buses, and bicycles. The app also offers mobile shopping, consumer discounts, entertainment options, and recommendations for unique local travel experiences in Taoyuan.
