96 million passengers a year！ The world’s busiest Atlanta airport retains the top spot for 17 consecutive years

As global travel has gained momentum, passenger traffic at airports around the world has increased significantly,a CNN report noted,and in 2014, airport passenger volume rose by a significant 5.7% compared to 2013. So which airport is the busiest in the world? According to the World Airport Traffic Report by Airports Council International (ACI), the busiest airport in 2014 was Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport in the United States, serving a total of 96 million passengers, retaining the top spot for the 17th consecutive year.
The report also listed the top ten:
1. Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport, USA
2. Beijing Capital International Airport ranked second with 86 million passengers in 2014
3. London Heathrow Airport served 73 million travelers in 2014
4. Tokyo Haneda Airport
5. Los Angeles International Airport
6. Dubai International Airport
7. Chicago O'Hare International Airport
8. Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport
9. Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport
10. Hong Kong International Airport.
