Alishan"Boat Bridge"It has become a new attraction in the Alishan National Forest Recreation Area. This bridge is located next to the Xianglin Arch Bridge and spans a tributary of the Alishan Stream. To ensure ecological engineering quality and aesthetics, the Chiayi Forest District Office used hand-laid stone revetments combined with engineering to create a cascading waterfall landscape, allowing aquatic life to inhabit and be protected within the gaps of the stone revetments. Then, ripple-shaped check dams paired with a scenic pool form a water curtain feature.

This “beauty of wild streams” allows visitors to enjoy the white water curtain amid mountain mist, listen to the murmuring sound of flowing water, and experience the tranquility of a streamside setting. They can also breathe in the forest’s phytoncides and the negative ions from the pristine environment. At night, lights reflected on the water curtain create a stunning spot for night photography.
