Hualien is famous for its beautiful mountains and clear waters. The area around Antong Creek in Yuli Township is a vast hot spring resort district with premium-quality hot spring water. It was even a well-known hot spring destination during the Japanese colonial period. The Golden Bell Award-winning drama "Rainy Night Flower" was filmed here, and this is also the filming location of the "Black Beauty Restaurant" from the drama. This time, the Antong Hot Spring Hotel is divided into 4 main sections:Antong Grand Hot Spring Inn, Butterfly Ecological Park, Room Types, Public Facilitieswill be introduced as follows:

1. Antong Grand Hot Spring Inn (Antong Hot Spring Hotel Historical Museum)
Located within the Antong Hot Spring Hotel is the Antong Grand Hot Spring Inn, which has been designated as a historical site by the Council for Cultural Affairs. It is also the filming location of the "Black Beauty Restaurant" from the "Rainy Night Flower" drama. Originally built in 1903 by the Japanese government as a reception facility for the Japanese police station, the entire building is a cypress wood bungalow. It was later taken over by the Yuli Township Office and then sold to private ownership. The interior layout, corridors, and rooms all feature a Japanese-style design, and tatami mats can still be seen in the rooms.

2. Butterfly Ecological Park
The Antong Hot Spring Hotel is located in the Huadong Valley, near the Xiuguluan River and Liushishi Mountain. The hotel faces Antong Creek, with mountain views behind. After being managed by the second and third generations of the family, they created the "Butterfly Ecological Park." The general manager explained:"Here, the butterfly ecosystem is built according to natural principles. We plant flowers and plants that butterflies love, attracting them to feed on nectar and breed. This also draws birds that prey on them, naturally forming a complete food chain.""Taking a morning stroll through the butterfly garden, surrounded by colorful butterflies, is a truly rare experience."

Additionally, the hot spring water at Antong Hot Spring Hotel is of the sulfate-chloride type, with a pH value of about 8.3–8.6, approximately 66°C. It is served as untreated spring water—colorless, odorless, and crystal clear. The used water is not recycled but drained directly. If you visit the butterfly garden, you’ll have the chance to see the hot spring wells built by the hotel.

3. Room Type Introduction
The flooring in the rooms has a nostalgic Japanese style—clean and tidy. The bathrooms are spacious, each featuring a personal bathtub large enough for a person to stretch out fully and even turn around twice. The faucets are metal, so it’s natural to see somemineral spots, which are proof that you’re truly soaking in authentic hot spring water.There are also hot spring shampoo and body wash products. The bathroom doors are wooden and slide open sideways, adding to the authentic Japanese onsen atmosphere.

4. Public Space Facilities
The hotel is located right next to the Antong Stream, where the sound of flowing water can be heard at all times. The nearby Butterfly Garden is an ecological trail area, designed as a resting space that offers the refreshing ambiance of forest phytoncides. On the first floor of the hotel, you’ll find various open-air hot springs, small shops—such as soaking pools and footbaths—as well as a hot spring building that includes a rooftop scenic hot spring room, private pools, family pools, an outdoor spa, men’s and women’s hot spring areas, double rooms with hot springs, and additional spaces like meeting rooms.
