Apart from the enchanting beauty of silvergrass and red maple leaves, the sight of sun-dried persimmons in Hsinchu is another must-see orange-hued spectacle each year. To capture this once-a-year beautiful scene, head to Hsinpu Township in Hsinchu County. Starting from the end of September, Weiwijia Dried Persimmon in Hanjingli, Hsinpu Township, has begun displaying trays of persimmons. In addition to admiring the view, the Hsinpu Township Farmers' Association also hosts a persimmon festival full of food and giveaways to join in the fun, filling this autumn with the warm aroma of dried persimmons.

The Hsinpu ‘Persimmon Festival’ will be held on October 21–22 at the Hsinpu Township Farmers' Association Industry Exchange Center. In addition to exhibitions and sales of dried persimmons and rice-based foods, the event also features activities such as the Persimmon Baby Moving Game, cooking demonstrations, and animated film screenings, making it perfect for family fun. Visitors can also head to Weiwijia Dried Persimmon in Hanjingli to observe traditional sun-drying techniques, taste health-promoting chicken soup with dried persimmons, enjoy persimmon ice pops with persimmon bits, and participate in hands-on experiences like persimmon dyeing, pottery painting, making persimmon dolls, and hand-weaving persimmon-themed crafts. It’s an unmissable autumn-only experience.
